SCOTT WALKER TRIBUTE
Also known as ‘the thinking man’s crooner’, Scott Walker was the fresh-faced frontman of the 60s doomcrooner trio The Walker Brothers who hit the UK when the Beatles were off conquering the US. Their big, brooding wall-of-sound ballads were a huge hit with hysterical teenagers who were far more interested in the eye candy than Scott’s more deeper and artistic leanings. He soon quit the band and pursued his own dark and lonely path that left us with some of the best and critically acclaimed music to come out of the 60s.
Below are examples of songs that feature as part of my vocal tributes show including some special requests and some of my personal favourites. I will be adding more songs from time to time so please keep checking if you’d like to hear more. Enjoy!
